Katie started performing at the age of 9, her passage into performing arts was not easy to difficulties with speech and communication disorders diagnosed at age 8. She struggled with extreme anxiety and social communication issues. Performing arts has enabled Katie to use her talents to showcase her beautiful voice and help others access music as a form of therapy. She is currently a spokesperson for several Mental Health Charities and uses her platform to counsel and mentor others 

Katie is currently studying at Goldsmiths the University of London doing a BA Honors in Drama and Musical Theatre.

Katie B officially got her start at just 9 years old performing in local theatre performances and beginning to find her passion as a performer. She has starred in a number of professional  productions performed with The National Youth Opera at the Peacock and then performed a dramatic theatre performance  Murder On The Orpington Express, Palace Theatre, Out-loud Productions 

Theatre in a production of Cunning Little Vixen which had press in London Theatre review pages then after that in 2016 she was lucky to be working with British  Theatre Academy and musical director Dean Johnson and starred in a production of Godspell with West End stars at the actor’s church in st Paul’s which had press from critics like renowned theatre critic Mark Shenton,  in 2017 she performed a solo song in the Italia Conti’s Annual Show at The Kenneth More Theatre, then in New year’s Day in 2019 she performed at the Lord  Mayor’s of London New Year’s Day Parade all around the City Of London representing the  London Borough of Havering which ended up on national and international television the parade is watched on television by more than 500 million people annually. Not too long after that, she was a solo performer as part of the National Theatre Connections short play titled Sad Play at the Queen’s Theatre,  as part of the Company Store Room Youth Theatre.

After realising that she loved expressing her real-life experiences through music she started writing her original songs as a therapeutic tool it helps her recognise that she could use all that raw emotion through her own words. She writes most of her songs on societal issues such as mental health, body dysmorphia, feminism and everyday struggles. In 2019 she got discovered by the CEO of Rock Solid Music Talent Entertainment and music manager Phil Taylor and has ever been working together in discussing her original songs and sourcing talent and collaborating with recognised music producers and session instrumentalists. She was very fortunate due to Rock Solid Talent Entertainment’s partnership with music mogul and CEO Mark S Berry of Sony/Amg to have her original distributed through Sony Amg. She officially released her debut single ‘Jealousy’ on the 27th of January on all Digital musical platforms and used her talents and voice with the aid of her manager Carol Blackwell running her first-ever single launch at the Ironworks Southend to help raise money for an incredible mental health charity Mind. At the moment she is currently performing at various events (charity, festivals, corporate events, fashion shows and promotional events and is in the process of releasing her original music very soon.  Ever since she was aware of her Generalised Anxiety and Body dysmorphia disorders she has mentored young people from multiple cultures or backgrounds on the importance  of opening up to those who love and support them, especially with the pressures of social media, education and validation from others 

Katie is passionate about performing and using her voice to raise awareness and money for numerous important causes. She calls her music, Music with a Purpose and wants to use her talents to help others realise Music is for everyone irrespective of Age, race, gender or religion. Katie is a proud supporter of the ZUGU Project and is very honoured to be involved in such an incredible project intertwining the arts with mental health
